Last week, Fuels-C partners participated in the 19th IWA World Conference on Anaerobic Digestion, held in Valencia, one of the leading international events in the field. The conference brought together experts from more than 50 countries to exchange knowledge, discuss current challenges and explore new solutions for advancing anaerobic digestion and bioenergy.
The Fuels-C consortium was represented by Victoria Thi Gai Westphalen and Eleonora Paissoni from Isle Utilities, Elena Agustí and Gracia Tormo from FACSA, and Raquel Sierra and Eduard Borràs from LEITAT.
During the conference, Isle Utilities presented a poster on behalf of the consortium entitled “Fuels-C: Accelerating Advanced Biofuels from Biogenic Residues for a Cleaner Transport Future.” The poster highlighted the project’s approach to converting biogenic residues into advanced biofuels, supporting cleaner energy solutions for both maritime and road transport.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to showcase Fuels-C’s work, engage with the scientific and industrial community, and contribute to the broader discussion on waste-to-energy pathways and sustainable transport fuels.
